FBC Decherd is a Sunday School Church. We believe that in order for you to grow in your walk with God you must be connected with other believers. Sunday School provides the opportunity for people of all ages and all walks of life to connect with one another and develop lasting relationships. Sunday School also provides opportunities for you to engage in serving the Lord through various class projects and mission efforts. Being a part of a Sunday School class also helps you to grow in the knowledge of God’s Word as you participate in the weekly Bible study.
The nursery and preschool classes are led by trained qualified volunteers who knows how to connect with the youngest of children. The Sunday School class consist of interactive play, music, and Bible stories.
The K-3rd Grade Class is designed to help young elementary aged children to establish a foundation and confidence in the Bible as God’s Word. Children are taught the Word of God through various Bible lessons that are geared toward their level of understanding and challenges them to grow.
The 4th & 5th Grade Class continues to grow in the knowledge of God’s Word as they learn basic Bible doctrines and concepts and how to apply God’s Word to their daily lives.
The Youth Class encourages greater connections with one another and engagement in growing with one another in the grace and knowledge of God’s Word. The youth are challenged to know what they believe and why they believe it.
The Young Adult Class consists of both single and married young adults. This class enjoys great fellowship and relationship building as they challenge one another in applying God’s Word to daily life.
The Adult 1 class is made of adults of all ages and all walks of life. They enjoy deep and encouraging discussions around God’s Word.
The Senior Adult Women enjoy the fellowship they share with one another as they study God’s Word together. No matter your age, there is always room for greater spiritual growth. These senior ladies continue to grow in their faith.
Just like the women, the Senior Adult Men enjoys the fellowship they share. They realize the need for continual spiritual growth even late in life.
The Discovery Class is designed for those who may have not attended Sunday School in some time or have never attended Sunday School or for those who are just looking for a fresh start. The class focuses on basic Christian growth and deals with many of the questions people may have about our faith.
Sunday School is held every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. Come and connect, engage, and grow in the Sunday School class that is the best fit for you!
