Missions is the heartbeat of FBC Decherd. We are a mission minded church that focuses on reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

As a Southern Baptist Church we support the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention as our primary way to support missions. We believe that much more can be accomplished together than alone. For this reason, we choose to partner with other Southern Baptist Churches around the world in fulfilling the great commission.

The International Mission Board  is the means through which Southern Baptist Missions is carried out around the world. The work of the IMB reaches every corner of the globe and each year thousands of souls are saved and hundreds of churches are established.

The North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention focuses on reaching people for Jesus right here at home. America is a melting pot of many cultures and nationalities. The NAMB supports mission efforts all across North America so that all people have the opportunity to learn of the love and grace of Jesus.

FBC Decherd  also supports the Duck River Baptist Association. This is our local association of Southern Baptist Churches that partner together for missions and local ministry.

In addition to supporting the mission efforts of the Southern Baptist Convention, FBC Decherd also supports other mission organizations that focusses on reaching the world with the Gospel. FBC Decherd is heavily involved in both financial and volunteer support of the Tennessee Valley Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship.

FBC Decherd also supports our local Fellowship of Christian Athletes. This ministry works to engage students in Middle School, High School, and Colleges through student Bible studies, team chaplains, sports camps, and much more.

Baptist Collegiate Ministries at Motlow is directly supported by FBC Decherd. We believe in the importance of providing opportunity for college students to connect with other believers and to grow in their faith. We believe the church should and must have a presence on our college campuses.

Over and above our regular missions budget, FBC Decherd participates in special mission offerings throughout the year such as the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions, the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions, the Golden Offering for Tennessee State Missions, along with several other offerings. Members of FBC Decherd also participate in short-term mission trips. For the sake of the Gospel and for the Glory of God!
